Pokerstars åtalas för pengatvätt av FBI
Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker samt Absolute poker har blivit åtalade av FBI. Många bankkonton har blivit frysta och grundarna av dessa bolag kommer att åtalas för bankbedrägerier, pengatvätt och illegal
Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker samt Absolute poker har blivit åtalade av FBI. Många bankkonton har blivit frysta och grundarna av dessa bolag kommer att åtalas för bankbedrägerier, pengatvätt och illegal spelverksamt. FBI har även stängt ner 5st olika domäner. Enligt 2+2 så kan inga spelare från USA spela på sajten. Åtalet kan ge upp till 30 års fängelse för dessa elva ägare.

Usually (at least with Forex), client deposits were #1 on the list, however, if the sites go bankrupt (which they most likely will with no business being able to be transacted plus huge legal expenses), most depositors may only get pennies on the dollar and it most likely will be years down the line. The money is frozen currently and no transactions can be made until this whole legal process is completed. This obviously will take a lot of time (like I said several years).

Banken Full Tilt Poker has shut down real money gaming in the U.S. stating, "Unfortunately, as a result of this action, Full Tilt Poker has decided that it must suspend “real money” play in the United States until this case is resolved. However, Full Tilt Poker will continue to provide peer-to-peer online poker services outside of the United States."

Undrar om man kan använda något i en eventuell argumentation med Skatteverket om att FTP ska vara skattefritt. Står bland annat att FTPs huvudkvarter finns på Irland, vilket förvisso alla redan vet, samt vilka konton som blivit beslagtagna. Den absoluta majoriteten av kontona är inom EU.
