Den förmodade köparen, Groupe Bernard Tapie, har via sin advokat Behnam Dayanim uttalat sig vidare om Full Tilt Poker och dealen som står för dörren. Köpeskillingen på $80 miljoner gäller alltjämt förutsatt att FTP möter kraven som ställts på dem. Ett hinder på vägen att få allt i ordning har att göra med pengarna som de gamla FTP-proffsen är skyldiga bolaget, och har oroat pokervärlden. Såhär uttalar sig advokat Dayanim om det:
"Despite the issues which slowed down the deal, significant progress has been made throughout February. The parties involved have chosen to extendthe deal's execution deadline by several weeks."
1 mars var det sagt att FTP kanske skulle öppna, men som uttalandet ovan lyder har man nu skjutit på det datumet "flera veckor". Advokaten ger fler, uppmuntande ord:
"We are very close to executing a deal and anticipate it happening over the next several weeks."
"Positive progress has been made in recent talks, and each of the parties feels reasonably confident that we'll be able to reach a successful conclusion. As such, everyone has agreed to let the process continue for a bit longer".
När det gäller orosmolnet som handlar om proffsens skuld till Full Tilt säger advokaten att de har försökt lösa problemet men flera av proffsen varit motsträviga i förhandlingarna.
"We've been talking to certain players and are hoping that we may be able to resolve the issues with some of them. Others have continued to remain recalcitrant, but we're hopeful that we will be able to achieve sufficient critical mass on all of the outstanding issues that will be able to make the deal work."
